On the way home from Washington DC Sunday, I asked Mr G if we could stop by Duke. After stopping at a gas station and asking where the university was located--a very nice lady said she would take us to the school and the entrance she took us to was the chapel entrance. Both Jose and I were speechless--the pictures tell it all.
We listened to the last 5 minutes of the service and I had tears in my eyes. I had the chance to speak with the dean of the chapel(Sam Wells) and learned he is from England and has been to Lyme Regis(my dream). The whole time I was there, I felt like I was in a British cathedral--even Dean Wells agreed with me.
If you are in the Durham North Carolina area--the chapel at Duke University is a visit you will never forget.

What a beautiful chapel and campus! I have never seen Duke, although a good friend went there, so it was interesting to get a peek at it.
The stained glass in the chapel must be awesome to look at when the sun is shining through it.
