One Week To Go

It's hard to believe next Friday my daughter and I will be walking in our first 5K run/walk. I am not walking to win, but to prove to myself I can do it. I will also be walking in honor of my mom who suffered a stroke three weeks ago. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a very strong woman and will get through this.

I love you mama and every step I take in this walk you will be with me.

I hope everyone will have the week end of your choice!

Best
Tracy :)

Quilts Part 1

Growing up I have always loved quilts. To me they tell a story and share history that can be passed down from generations to generations. This lovely quilt was made by my friend Julie(moments in perfect clarity) who lives in Denmark--she has a wonderful talent I wish I had!

I have two more lovely quilts on the way that Julie also made and I cannot wait for them to arrive! Will post pictures as soon as I get them. Now, I will let the pictures tell the story of the beautiful art work Julie has made.

Have the week/day of your choice!

Best
Tracy :)

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Gas prices are almost $4.00 in the Upstate of South Carolina and it's not even Summer! Would like to know the price of gas in your area.

Book Review

Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem LCSW is a book written for moms but dads could also find the book helpful. The book has seven chapters that has useful information that can help any parent get through hard situations. At the end of every chapter there is a section called Faith Points. The Faith Points are Bible verses that goes with each chapter and I found these to be very helpful.

I give the book high marks, because Mrs Hickem writes about her own experiences she's had with her children. I feel this helps the reader to understand all parents will go through good and bad times, but with faith and understanding you can get through it all.

* I received this book from the publisher through Booksneeze. I am not required to write a positive review and my feelings on this book are my own thoughts. *
